Common Grave

A new strike from the north-east Italy, another concrete proof about the absolute quality and premiership of this country in current black metal movement. Starting as a brutal death metal act in late ’90, COMMON GRAVE evolved their style in a mature black metal with melancholic and decadent edges. The debut album, “Il male di vivere”, is an ambitious and profound concept album about the “spleen”, the suffering of every day life. It’s possible to consider it a long suite of 65 minute, divided in 8 chapters, where all tracks are linked together (this means no silence between each track) and where there’s a perfect equilibrium between violent and melancholic black metal, avantgarde touches and acoustic passages. A complex and refined album that unveils itself listening after listening, offering many moments of rare beauty. An imaginary journey between early SHINING, FORGOTTEN TOMB and even DRUDKH. “Il male di vivere” is scheduled for early 2008, but all infos (including an amazing album teaser) are now available on “Releases” section.
